INTRODUCTION
The Day of Atonement, 10th Day from the Feast of Trumpets, is considered the most sacred day. The High Priest would prepare himself to enter the Holy of Holies to offer sacrifices to make atonement for the sins of Israel, to obtain God’s mercy and forgiveness that will bring God’s blessings for the New Year. All the offerings and sacrifices offered points to the One Perfect And All Sufficient Sacrifice Of Our Lord Jesus Himself. The High Priest goes into the Holy of Holies on the earth to offer the blood of animals year after year BUT Jesus entered into heaven before God’s throne with His own blood, once for all through the perfect sacrifice of Himself to secure eternal salvation for us. Heb 9:24-28, 10:12-14.
Through the precious blood of Christ we have been redeemed, cleansed, forgiven and justified by God forever. 1 Pet 1:18-19, Eph 1:7, Rom 5:9.
