1. Introduction: ONE person
Nehemiah, served as cupbearer to King Artaxerxes – a prestigious position
requiring an upright character. He remained in Persia after the exiles had been
allowed to go home but was highly interested in the state of affairs in Judah.
When informed that Jerusalem was without walls, he resolved to restore them.
