Special Announcement
Dear HGC family,
After much prayerful considerations following the directive from the Ministry of Health (MOH) to contain the spread of Covid 19, the leadership of HGC have decided on the following:
The services and activities of our church after our Anniversary Service on 15th March will be as such:
For the next 2 Sundays 22nd and 29th March:
- One Sunday Service will be held at 845 am in the church with live streaming on The Hope of Glory Centre’s Face Book page.
- Other small group activities like Life Groups, Youth and Prayer meetings will continue. This is important to help the members to remain spiritually strong and connected at such critical times. We want to keep the fire burning on our altars, be it personal, families and church altars.
- Our Children Church will not be held until further notice as we recognise the concern of parents for their children. We want to encourage parents to read the Bible, worship God and pray with their children at home for families to experience God’s peace, protection and blessings.
- Sunbeams children and youth will join our Sunday services on live stream at their home led by Pastor Victor.
The above measures will be reviewed after March and we will keep you updated.
Please note that the Seminar by Ps Seumean has been cancelled as he needs to fly back to USA as soon as he can before more travel bans due to Covid 19.
We also urge all HGC members to take follow the instructions below as precautions:
- If you are not well, please refrain from attending church services on site or any of the church small group activities.
- If you have travelled overseas, please self-quarantine yourself for 14 days before meeting with others.
- If you have had close contact with suspected Covid 19 cases, you are also to self-quarantine yourself for 14 days before meeting with others.
- Practice good hygiene and following the instructions given by MOH regarding hand washing, not shaking hands, covering your mouth with tissues when you cough or sneeze, not touching your eyes, mouth and face with your hands and so forth.
We know that these are trying times, but the Lord has already prepared us in His word. Let us be encouraged that our LORD reigns and is in full control over all things and that He is always with us. Indeed, all things work together for good for us who love God and are the called according to His purpose! At such a time as this God has called and empowered us to be His witnesses. Let us live out our faith, hope and love in Christ. Let us remain strong in spirit as we pray, trust in Him and serve Him. Let us be aware of the opportunities God gives us to bring peace and comfort to people in need at this time.
In His Great love,
Pastor Khor Hoe Chai
